EGOTH Launches Website To Promote Historic Hotels

The Egyptian General Company for Tourism and Hotels (EGOTH), jointly with the Holding Company for Tourism, Hotels & Cinema (HOTAC), has launched a website, www.historichotels.com.eg, to promote its historic hotels; in the framework of the company’s plan for electronic promotion and opening new markets. The hotels of EGOTH are Cairo Marriott hotel, Mena House Oberoi hotel, Shepheard hotel, Helnan Palestine hotel in Alexandria, Sofitel Cecil hotel, Sofitel Winter Palace hotel, Cataract Aswan, and Luxor hotel in Luxor.

A reliable source in the company said the website will be provided with application for reserving in the hotels, knowing the prices, available rooms and services and the touristic attractions. The website will be connected to the social networks.

The source referred to the necessity of the electronic tourism and the electronic reservation for tours, adding that 40% of global tourism reservations are through the internet, therefore it requires following up this tendency. The company has set a five-year plan for electronic promotion in order to achieve high publicity for the Egyptian historic hotels.
