Egypt, UAE partner on sustainable waste management in Sharm el-Sheikh ahead of COP27
Egypt has signed on Wednesday a 10-year partnership agreement with UAE’s BEEAH Group on the Egyptian green plant.
Both will work on carrying out sustainability-focused waste management practices in Sharm el-Sheikh, which is hosting COP27 in November. They will also launch an environmental awareness campaign targeted the locals in the coastal city, according to BEEAH Group in a press release.
The two companies focus on waste management projects that give priority to the environment.
Egypt is seeking several green initiatives before COP27. Moreover, China recently sent solar equipment to Sharm el-Sheikh. Recently, Egypt also shut down a coal factory and established a project to restore coral reefs in the Red Sea.
