United States market briefing 05/05/2023

The United States market closed high on Friday with the Dow rising by 1.65 percent to close at 33,674.38 points. It gained 546.64 points, recording a day high value of 33,748.43 and a day low value of 33,248.55.

The NASDAQ index climbed by 2.25 percent to 12,235.41, gaining 269.01 points. It recorded a day high value of 12,264.83 and a day low value of 12,065.72.

S&P 500 inched up by 1.85 percent and gained 75.03 points. It closed at 4,136.25, recording a day high value of 4,147.02 and a day low value of 4,147.02.
