Egypt’s Expats In Paris Can Now Open Bank Accounts At Banque Misr

Assistant Foreign Minister for Consular Affairs Ali Al-Ashry commended the efforts exerted by the Egyptian Consulate in Paris to allow Egyptians living in France to open bank accounts at Banque Misr’s branch in Paris without the need of French residency documents.

After receiving many demands for opening bank accounts at Banque Misr’s branch in Paris, Egypt’s ambassador to Paris Mohamed Moustafa Kamal asked the bank’s officials to find a solution for such issue and suggested to them a number of solutions such as that which is applied by France Post. The bank agreed on the ambassador’s suggestions conditioning only that the Egyptian passport shall be valid.
