IFE To Establish Natural Disasters Insurance Pool

The Insurance Federation of Egypt (IFE) plans to establish a natural disasters insurance pool, sources said.

IFE’s executive board has unanimously approved the formation of a committee to study the resulting effects of establishing this insurance pool. Alaa El-Zoheiry, managing director of Arab Misr Insurance Group (AMIG), was chosen to head this committee.

IFE is set to hold a meeting Thursday with the Egyptian Healthcare Management Association to discuss comprehensive social healthcare system.

It is worth noting that IFE has three insurance pools: Nuclear Constructions Insurance Pool, Railways, Underground-Metro & Highways Accident Risks Insurance Pool and Construction Civil Liability Insurance Pool.
