The Egyptian Exchange (EGX) announced on Wednesday the acquisition of 41.976 million shares in Egypt’s Arab Dairy for 53.729 million Egyptian pounds ($1.7 million).
The acquisition was carried out through a block-trading transaction, typically carried out by a single investor or a group of investors on the market.
Details of the deal will be revealed in later official disclosures.
The shareholding structure of Arab Dairy consists of Gadwa for Industrial Development having a 39.89 percent stake, Aspire Capital Holding for Financial Investments of 28.27 percent stake, Baraka for Trade and Investment of 12.2 percent stake, Summu Consulting of 5.165 percent stake, and the remaining stakes are owned by a group of investors.
