Israeli bombing targets Gaza’s only psychiatric hospital
The Israeli Occupation Forces (IOF) has targeted the only psychiatric hospital in Gaza in addition to an optomotery hospital in the strip, the Palestinian Ministry of Health reported on November 6th.
Ashraf al-Qidra, the Gaza ministry of health spokesperson, said earlier: “Israeli military tanks are now surrounding hospitals in Gaza including al-Rantisi, Nasser hospital for children, eyes and mental health services.”
The psychiatric hospital was serving all governorates of the Gaza Strip and was built in 1980 on an area of 6,000 square meters in the Al-Nasser neighbourhood of downtown Gaza City.
