Sisi meets French armed forces minister, discuss Gaza crisis
Egyptian President Abdel Fattah al-Sisi met French Minister of Armed Forces Sébastien Lecornu on Saturday to discuss the attacks on Gaza.
The meeting was held in the presence of the Minister of Defense and Military Production General Mohamed Zaki.
This came within the framework of Lecornu’s keenness on informing al-Sisi of the outcome of his regional tour during the past days.
The minister’s tour comes in light of international efforts to calm the situation in the region.
During the meeting, Lecornu also stressed on the French side’s interest in working with Egypt during the ongoing attacks.
Given the close relations between the two countries as well as Egypt’s pivotal role in the crisis, both nations will work to stop the bloodshed of the Palestinian people.
They will also work towards reaching a ceasefire, protecting civilians, and delivering humanitarian aid to the people of Gaza.
