Medmark Healthcare Company will offer medical insurance coverage to the employees working for an investment bank with premiums amounting to EGP 12 million, said Walid Ouf, chairman of the company.
Ouf revealed to Amwal Al Ghad that the insurance policy includes all medical insurance coverages as well as grants the employees the chance to choose the hospital they want to be treated at. The company plans to expand in all insurance sectors in the upcoming period, he added.
He affirmed that the company targets a specific customers segment which can pay high-cost premiums; therefore, the company has decided to decline to deal with the industrial sector which witnesses many strikes and sit-ins as well as economic slowdowns in the current period which prompted many factories to close down and consequently they defaulted on paying premiums.
