China experienced significant growth in its natural gas production during the first two months of the current year, Xinhua reported on Sunday, citing data compiled by the National Bureau of Statistics (NBS).
During the January-February timeframe, the nation’s natural gas output surged by 5.9 per cent compared to the previous year, reaching 41.7 billion cubic metres.
Furthermore, NBS data also revealed a notable increase in China’s natural gas imports for the same period. Imports reached 22.1 million tonnes, marking a 23.6 percent rise year on year.
