Egypt’s c. bank issues EGP 55b T-bills
The Central Bank of Egypt (CBE) on Sunday offered a total of 55 billion Egyptian pounds in two treasury bills auctions, according to a CBE statement on its website.
This auction offers investors two options for investing in government debt with varying maturities.
Investors can choose between:
182-day T-bills: offering an investment of 30 billion pounds with an issue date of April 28rd, 2024, maturing on October 29th, 2024.
364-day T-bills: offering an investment of 25 billion pounds with an issue date of April 28rd, 2024, maturing on April 29th, 2025.
The CBE likely releases details on the accepted bids and weighted average yields on their website after the auction concludes.
