EBRD forecasts 1.5% GDP growth for Russia in ’25
The Russian economy is projected to experience modest GDP growth of 1.5 per cent in 2025, according to the Regional Economic Prospects report released by the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) on Wednesday.
This forecast follows a projected 2.5 per cent growth in 2024 and comes after a period of fluctuating performance: a strong growth of 4.7 per cent in 2021, a downturn of 1.2 per cent in 2022, and a recovery to 3.6 per cent in 2023.
Despite these ups and downs, Russia has maintained a steady revenue growth of 1.5 per cent since September 2023.
The EBRD underscores the importance of strategic planning to ensure the continued growth of Russia’s economy amidst these challenges.
