Cairo to host Big 5 Construct Egypt 6 edition on June 25-27

The sixth edition of Big 5 Construct Egypt, the country’s flagship construction industry event, is taking place on June 25-27, building on the country’s construction sector promising trajectory.

Supported by the Egyptian Ministry of Housing, Utilities, and Urban Communities, the expo will be held at the Egypt International Exhibition Centre (EIEC) in Cairo.

According to Knight Frank MENA’s latest estimates, Egypt’s construction sector is poised to grow by 7.4 per cent annually between 2024-27, serving as a powerhouse and dynamic force steering the nation toward economic GDP growth.

Co-located with the Egypt Infrastructure & Water Expo, Big 5 Construct Egypt will offer this year a comprehensive showcase of new and improved technologies and solutions across multiple sectors critical for Egypt’s ambitious development agenda aligned with Egypt Vision 2030.

The event will continue to demonstrate Egypt’s increasing attractiveness in the construction industry by bringing together key businesses for three days of business-making and collaboration. It will highlight essential product sectors, including:

This year’s Big 5 Construct Egypt will welcome exhibitors from over 20 countries, including Belgium, China, Cyprus, Denmark, Germany, India, Italy, Greece, Pakistan, Saudi Arabia, South Korea, Spain, Türkiye and United Arab Emirates, and more.

Leading international players in the built environment, such as Masa, Classic Marble Company, Sesta, Al Kuhaimi Group, Akplas Kaucuk and others, are set to showcase transformative products and services for the construction industry at this year’s event.

Big 5 Construct Egypt is also set to host a series of 18 CPD-certified Big 5 Talks, featuring 25 speakers across four distinct themes, including facilities management, project management, technology and sustainability.

At one of the panel discussions, Taher Sied, CEO of CAD Masters, will discuss with experts from Pegasus Operational Excellence Solutions, First Option Engineering Services, and Saudi Diyar Consultants the need for technology adoption in building a future-ready construction industry.

Moreover, Mohamed Amer, Regional Director of Operations – MENA at the International Code Council (ICC), will highlight the council’s impact on innovative building practices in the MENA region. Matt Doran, MENA Regional Hub Manager at Chartered Institute of Building, will discuss future trends in construction project management in Egypt.

Egypt Infrastructure & Water Expo

As Egypt is turning into a global infrastructure hub with an infrastructure project pipeline of $400 billion, the second edition of the Egypt Infrastructure & Water Expo is presenting the infrastructure value chain to create a modern, sustainable, and human-centric built environment.

The event will showcase exhibitors presenting products and services across five dedicated sectors; urban connectivity, water and waste management, smart cities (digital infrastructure), communications and planning and construction of power infrastructure. High-profile companies will be participating, including ACO Water Solutions, Al Shorouk Construction, Saudi Pipe Systems, Concrete Plus, Mapei, Future Pipe and others.

This year’s edition will host two content programmes: Infra360 and Water360.

Infra360 sessions will explore national development plans, strategic visions, and policy frameworks that outline Egypt’s long-term aspirations and priorities for infrastructure and construction development. Speakers headlining the panel discussions are Kamal Shawky, Executive Director of First Option Engineering Services; Ali Badawy, Architecture Section Head of Administrative Capital for Urban Development Company (ACUD); and Cem Cesur, General Manager – Projects of Dheya Tawfiqi Engineering Consultancy Bureau.

Water360 sessions will delve into water governance, policy frameworks, innovations in water quality monitoring, and desalination technologies.

Notable speakers include Ahmed Abdallah Sayed, Chief Technical Officer of the National Water Research Centre; Haitham El Kott, a water treatment expert; as well as Youssef Brouziyne, Regional Representative – MENA at the International Water Management Institute (IWMI); and Ahmed Mohamed Bayomi Hassan, Director of Water Quality Department at Holding Company for Water and Wastewater.
