Bank of Russia halts trading in Hong Kong dollar
The Bank of Russia announced on Thursday the suspension of trading in the Hong Kong dollar on the Moscow Exchange starting from June 13.
This decision, communicated via a statement on the Bank’s Telegram channel, also involves changes to the trading schedule.
As of Thursday, the trading session for currencies and precious metals, excluding the US dollar, euro, and Hong Kong dollar, will commence at 9:50 a.m. Moscow time (6:50 a.m. GMT). The move aims to streamline the exchange’s operations amid ongoing financial adjustments.
