Egypt’s Stock Exchange (EGX) closed mixed on Monday, with the main index, EGX30 going up by 0.73 per cent, to 28,992.34 points.
The Shariah index, EGX33 dropped by 0.24 to 2,774.72 points.
The small to mid-size enterprises’ index, EGX70 rose by 0.39 per cent, to 6,634.91 points.
The index, EGX100 index jumped by 0.22 per cent, to 9,527.72 points.
The total market capitalisation reached 1,979,290,372,015 Egyptian pounds.
The Arabs and non-Arab foreigners were net buyers with 273,898,012 Egyptian pounds, and 2,369,569,305 Egyptian pounds, respectively. Meanwhile, the Egyptians transactions were mainly sellers with 2,643,467,317 Egyptian pounds.
Top gainers on Monday
- The shares of Copper For Commercial Investment & Real Estate Development (COPR.CA) soared by 10.25 per cent, to close at the price of 0.484 Egyptian pounds a share.
- The shares of United Co for Housing & Development (UNIT.CA) climbed by 8.60 per cent, to trade at the price of 6.190 Egyptian pounds a share.
- The shares of Memphis Pharmaceuticals and Chemical Industries SAE (MPCI.CA) surged by 6.88 per cent, to the purchasing price of 89.490 Egyptian pounds a share.
Top losers on Monday
- The shares of Osool ESB Securities Brokerage Co (EBSC.CA) dived by 5.22 per cent, to close at 0.327 Egyptian pounds a share.
- The shares of GB Corp (GBCO.CA) plunged by 4.13 per cent, to close at 13.930 Egyptian pounds a share.
- The shares of Gharbia Islamic Housing Development (GIHD.CA) sank by 4.08 per cent, to close at the price of 23.020 Egyptian pounds a share.
