India-GCC relations expands in key sectors – minister
India’s relations with Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) countries continue to strengthen across various domains, including economic, energy, cultural, strategic, and people-to-people ties, according to Kirti Vardhan Singh, Minister of State for External Affairs.
Singh highlighted that Gulf nations are significant trade and investment partners for India and that there is a strong energy partnership and a large Indian community in the region.
In response to queries from Lok Sabha member Alok Kumar Suman, Singh outlined the government’s efforts to boost India-Gulf relations. He emphasised India’s historic and close ties with Gulf countries and noted his role in managing these relations in the new government.
