Egypt advances e-payment with new protocol

The National Authority for Social Insurance, the National Bank of Egypt, and Fawry for electronic payments have signed a protocol to advance electronic payment systems. This agreement supports Egypt’s digital transformation and financial inclusion goals by activating electronic payment mechanisms. It will enable business owners, insured individuals, pensioners, and beneficiaries to make payments electronically via bank cards or digital wallet, eliminating the need for cash transactions or manual processing.
