Afghanistan’s Ministry of Agriculture, Irrigation and Livestock has successfully implemented 271 agriculture and livestock projects over the past year, according to a report released on Thursday.
The total value of these projects is approximately $300 million. The report highlights that ongoing irrigation projects, valued at 50 million afghanis (around $700,000), are currently being executed across 11 provinces.
Upon completion, these irrigation initiatives are expected to benefit 6,780 hectares of agricultural land. This effort aims to support regions affected by drought.
