Early on Tuesday, Dr Hesham Kandil, Egyptian Prime Minister, arrived in the Kenyan capital of Nairobi, topping a high-profile delegation to take part in the inauguration of the new Kenyan president, Uhuru Kenyatta. Egypt’s President Mohamed Morsi has ordered Kandil to participate in the inauguration in order to stress the bilateral ties between the two countries
The Egyptian PM will have talks with senior Kenyan officials, during his visit to Nairobi, over the bilateral relations and the ways of supporting and developing them in various fields.
Kandil’s visit to Kenya comes in the framework of Egypt’s consideration- in the aftermath of January 25th Revolution- of the African dimension in its foreign relations, particularly supporting and developing the relations with the Nile Basin countries, as Kenya.
