Minister El-Khatib outlines Egypt’s competitive edge for investors

Egypt’s Minister of Investment Hassan El-Khatib on Friday outlined the country’s compelling investment proposition. According to Minister El-Khatib, Egypt’s competitive edge is underpinned by four key factors:

  • Robust Infrastructure: Egypt has made substantial improvements in its infrastructure, ensuring efficient traffic flow and movement. This modern infrastructure is a major draw for investors.
  • Skilled Workforce: The country’s abundant and affordable labor force provides a significant advantage for businesses seeking to establish operations in Egypt.
  • Diverse Economic Landscape: Egypt’s varied economic sectors offer a wide range of investment opportunities, catering to diverse business interests.
  • Green Energy Focus: Egypt’s commitment to renewable energy and its adherence to sustainability principles align with global trends and enhance its investment appeal.

Minister El-Khatib concluded that these factors collectively position Egypt as a prime destination for foreign investment in the years to come.

The Egyptian minister made these remarks during a roundtable discussion took place at the Bank of New York Mellon Corp.’s (BNY) headquarters in London on the sidelines of the door-knock mission to the UK, which is organised by the British Egyptian Business Association (BEBA).
