The Thai government announced a $4.45 billion cash stimulus package to revive the economy and help underprivileged groups. The programme aims to boost economic activity in Thailand.
In the initial phase of the programme, 10,000 baht ($305 dollars) will be distributed to state welfare card holders and individuals with disabilities.
This direct cash transfer is part of a broader government initiative to address economic challenges and improve the livelihoods of low-income earners.
Thai Prime Minister Paetongtarn Shinawatra announced that around 14.55 million Thais will receive the pay-out directly to their bank accounts by the end of the month.
