Vietnam’s car imports surge 37.5% in 10m

Vietnam imported 142,794 completely built units (CBUs) in the first 10 months of 2024, marking a 37.5 per cent increase compared to the same period in 2023, according to the General Department of Customs.

Indonesia remains the primary source of imported cars, with 57,963 units shipped to Vietnam so far this year, a 19,569-unit increase compared to the previous year.

Thailand follows closely with 54,481 units, up 7,535 units, and China with 24,613 units, a significant increase of 16,112 units.
