Egypt’s stock market (EGX) closed mixed on Tuesday. The main index, EGX30 went up by 0.34 per cent, to 30,628.74 points.
The Shariah index, EGX33 sunk by 0.35 per cent to 3,148.07 points.
The SMEs index, EGX70 rose by 0.52 per cent, to 8,460.57 points.
The index, EGX100 index jumped by 0.30 per cent, to 11,603.59 points.
The total market cap reached 2,236,663,092,009 Egyptian pounds.
The Arabs and Non-Arab Foreigners were net sellers with 230,801,089 Egyptian pounds, and 12,826,862,515 Egyptian pounds, respectively. Meanwhile, The Egyptians were net buyers with a total of 13,057,663,604 Egyptian pounds.
Top gainers on Tuesday
- Canal Shipping Agencies (CSAG.CA) shares climbed by 9.97 per cent, to close at 28.020 Egyptian pounds a share.
- El Nasr Clothes & Textiles (Kabo) (KABO.CA) shares jumped by 7.95 per cent, to close at 3.940 Egyptian pounds a share.
- Misr Beni Suef Cement (MBSC.CA) shares surged by 7.06 per cent, to close at the price of 62.770 Egyptian pounds a share.
Top losers on Tuesday
- Egyptian Arabian(Themar)Comp. For Securities&Bonds Brok. EAC (EASB.CA) shares declined by 5.43 per cent, to close at the price of 3.830 Egyptian pounds a share.
- Mena Touristic & Real Estate Investment (MENA.CA) shares fell by 4.40 per cent, to trade at the price of 4.130 Egyptian pounds a share.
- Palm Hills Development Company (PHDC.CA) shares dropped by 3.56 per cent, to the purchasing price of 5.96 Egyptian pounds a share.
