Egypt, S. Arabia to collaborate in telecom tower manufacture

Egypt’s Altawakol For Steel Fabrication & Galvanisation Co. on Tuesday signed a cooperation agreement with Saudi Arabia’s Falak Investment to collaborate in the manufacturing of telecom towers in Saudi Arabia.

The agreement aims to strengthen cooperation between the two companies in the fields of specialised steel industries, galvanisation, and telecom tower production in Egypt. Additionally, the contract includes potential future projects, expanding their scope of work across various industrial products of the Egyptian company.

The partnership will also allow the Egyptian party to compete in Saudi tenders.

Egypt’s Deputy Prime Minister for Industrial Development, Minister of Industry and Transport, Engineer Kamel El-Wazir, and Saudi Arabia’s Minister of Industry and Mineral Resources, Bandar bin Ibrahim Al-Khorayef, agreed to hold intensive meetings in the coming period. These discussions will take place between Egypt’s Industrial Modernisation Centre, affiliated with the Ministry of Industry, and the Saudi Export Development Authority. The aim is to monitor progress on joint cooperation initiatives and establish a roadmap to advance significant industrial collaboration between Egypt and Saudi Arabia.
