The Federation of Egyptian Chambers of Commerce has submitted an urgent memorandum to the Egyptian Prime Minister, Dr Hesham Kandil, about the federation vision to transform the Suez Canal Axis to a global investment center within five years.
Ahmed Al Wakeel, Chairman of the Federation of Egyptian Chambers of Commerce, confirmed the memorandum includes the possibility of transforming Suez Canal Axis to a global investment center in case of cooperating with serious partners and taking into consideration the security criteria of ventures.
The federation’s vision starts by linking between Juba, South Sudan, to Addis Ababa and between Djibouti and Suez through a logistics center and port, then to linked to the Arab Gulf countries that have financial surplus.
Al Wakeel has underscored the necessity of making use of the South African countries by collecting the cheap materials and resources to be transformed to east Port Said, which became the biggest port in the Mediterranean basin.
