Egypt’s stock market (EGX) closed in the red area on Tuesday. The main index, EGX30 went down by 0.48 per cent, to 29,973.15 points.
The Shariah index, EGX33 dropped by 0.38 per cent to 3,082.47 points.
The SMEs index, EGX70 fell by 0.44 per cent, to 8,190.91 points.
The index, EGX100 index sunk by 0.41 per cent, to 11,251.98 points.
The total market cap reached 2,186,459,146,735 Egyptian pounds.
The Egyptians and Arabs were net sellers with 1,519,723,036 Egyptian pounds, and 149,614,591 Egyptian pounds, respectively. Meanwhile, The Non-Arab foreigners were net buyers with a total of 1,669,337,626 Egyptian pounds.
Top gainers on Tuesday
- South Cairo & Giza Mills & Bakeries (SCFM.CA) shares climbed by 12.14 per cent, to close at 54.210 Egyptian pounds a share.
- South Valley Cement (SVCE.CA) shares jumped by 5.75 per cent, to close at 3.310 Egyptian pounds a share.
- Dice Sport & Casual Wear (DSCW.CA) shares surged by 5.38 per cent, to close at the price of 2.350 Egyptian pounds a share.
Top losers on Tuesday
- Al Tawfeek Leasing Company-A.T.LEASE (ATLC.CA) shares declined by 15.01 per cent, to close at the price of 3.850 Egyptian pounds a share.
- Cairo Pharmaceuticals (CPCI.CA) shares fell by 14.75 per cent, to trade at the price of 99.040 Egyptian pounds a share.
- Delta Sugar (SUGR.CA) shares dropped by 8.73 per cent, to the purchasing price of 51.110 Egyptian pounds a share.
