Israel’s inflation eases to 3.2% in Dec

Israel’s inflation rate softened in December, ending 2024 at 3.2 per cent, up from 3.0 per cent in 2023, according to data released by the Central Bureau of Statistics on Wednesday. The figures may prompt policymakers to consider easing interest rates in the near future.

The December inflation rate dropped to its lowest level since July, falling from 3.4 per cent in November. The result was below the 3.4 per cent expected in a Reuters poll but still above the government’s annual target range of 1-3 per cent.
