A 5.0-magnitude earthquake was felt in Egypt’s Cairo, Red Sea and South Sinai on Saturday afternoon.
According to National Institute for Astronomical and Geophysical Research Chairman Hatem Ouda, the tremor’s epicentre was located 150 kilometres north of Hurghada, 50 km away from Al-Tor city and 256 kilometres away from Cairo.
“No casualties or damages have yet been reported,” adds Ouda.
In April a 4.8-magnitude earthquake struck Egypt’s south Sinai Peninsula.
