European shares climb on stronger German economic outlook

European shares gained on Tuesday after data showed an improvement in German business sentiment, boosting investor confidence.

The pan-European STOXX 600 index rose 1.35 per cent as of 7:42 AM ET (11:42 AM GMT). Germany’s DAX gained 1.24 per cent, while France’s CAC 40 advanced 1.38 per cent. Spain’s IBEX 35 climbed 1.21 per cent, and the UK’s FTSE 100 added 0.70 per cent.

Investors reacted positively to Germany’s latest business sentiment data, which signalled a recovery in Europe’s largest economy. Market participants are also watching for further economic indicators and central bank signals for guidance on interest rates.
