Egypt’s Foreign Minister, Badr Abdel-Aty, discussed Egypt’s vision for resolving the ongoing crisis in Gaza with Austria’s newly-appointed Foreign Minister, Beata Mainl-Risinger. Abdel-Aty outlined Egypt’s efforts to restore and solidify a ceasefire agreement in its three stages, as well as to find sustainable solutions to the conflict amid ongoing Israeli escalation. He emphasised the necessity of exerting pressure on the Israeli government for an immediate ceasefire and the prompt delivery of humanitarian aid to the Gaza Strip.
In a telephone call on Thursday, Abdel-Aty also reviewed Egypt’s stance on the developments in Syria, underscoring the need to halt Israel’s blatant violations in Syrian territories. He reaffirmed Egypt’s support for Syrian institutions and the political process, ensuring the participation of all sectors of Syrian society.
