Egypt allocates $4.5b for women’s empowerment projects

Egypt has allocated over $4.5 billion in concessional developmental financing to support projects aimed at promoting gender equality and empowering women. This funding will be directed towards nearly 117 development initiatives across various sectors, thereby benefiting approximately 27 million women and girls.

In addition, the Ministry of Planning, Economic Development, and International Cooperation emphasised the country’s commitment to enhancing the role of women in society, which forms a key part of its comprehensive developmental vision.
