Egypt’s Minister of Investment and Foreign Trade, Hassan El-Khatib met with a delegation of prominent French companies from MEDEF International on Wednesday, as part of French President Emmanuel Macron’s official visit to Cairo.
The discussions aimed to enhance economic and investment cooperation between Egypt and France, with Minister El-Khatib emphasising the opportunity to build on strong political relations to expand joint investment ventures.
“El-Khatib highlighted Egypt’s ongoing commitment to fostering a stable and attractive investment climate through significant legislative and administrative reforms designed to support growth across the business sector,” the Egyptian Cabinet said in a statement.
The minister also underscored the strategic importance of collaboration in key areas such as the green economy, renewable energy, and advanced technology – all crucial to Egypt’s national development agenda.
“We are keen to establish partnerships that promote knowledge-sharing and mutual benefit,” Minister El-Khatib said, reaffirming Egypt’s desire to strengthen ties with France across a range of sectors.
