Egypt hosts Chinese space forum to boost scientific collaboration

Egypt’s Space Agency (EgSA) hosted the Chinese Space Forum on Monday, bringing together leading experts from China’s Academy of Sciences and the University of Science and Technology of China, alongside Egyptian scientists and engineers, the Cabinet said in a statement.

The event aimed to deepen international cooperation in space science and technology, featuring scientific lectures on topics such as Egypt’s earth observation programs, terrestrial radiation measurement, and recent upgrades in EgSA’s radar systems. Chinese researchers also shared advanced work on remote sensing and atmospheric studies.

The forum concluded with an exchange of commemorative shields and gifts, underscoring the strength of bilateral scientific ties and the shared commitment to advancing the space sector through continued collaboration.
