Egypt’s gold reserves climb to $13.629b in April – CBE

Egypt’s gold reserves reached $13.629 billion in April, marking an 8.1 per cent increase from $12.606 billion in March, according to the latest data from the Central Bank of Egypt (CBE) on Tuesday.

In contrast, foreign currency reserves slightly declined, falling to $34.324 billion in April from $35.136 billion in March.

Overall, Egypt’s net foreign exchange reserves rose to $48.144 billion at the end of April, up from $47.757 billion in March.
