Preparations underway for Egypt–Sweden Business Forum by May-end: ministry

Egypt’s Minister of Investment and Foreign Trade Hassan El-Khatib met with Swedish Ambassador Dag Juhlin-Dannfelt on Wednesday to discuss ways to strengthen bilateral economic cooperation and finalise preparations for the upcoming Egypt–Sweden Business Forum.

The forum, set to take place at the end of May, will feature the participation of Sweden’s Minister for Trade and Economy and is expected to facilitate direct engagement between Egyptian firms and major Swedish companies, according to a ministry statement.

The event will include matchmaking sessions and bilateral meetings aimed at fostering new investment partnerships across key sectors.

Ambassador Juhlin-Dannfelt said the Swedish delegation will include representatives from leading corporations as well as the Swedish Post and Telecom Authority (PTS). He described Egypt as a promising investment hub and voiced Sweden’s interest in forging long-term partnerships based on trust and shared priorities.
