Egypt’s PM dicusses ExxonMobil’s offshore operations in Med concessions

Egyptian Prime Minister Moustafa Madbouly met Sunday with John Ardill, Vice President of ExxonMobil for Exploration, to review the company’s operations in its Cairo and Masry offshore concessions in the Mediterranean.

According to a Cabinet statement, Prime Minister Madbouly described ExxonMobil as a strategic energy partner and expressed appreciation for its role in Egypt’s oil and gas sector. The talks focused on the company’s current activities and prospects for further cooperation, particularly in offshore exploration.

Ardill briefed the prime minister on seismic survey and drilling efforts in the deepwater blocks, noting the use of advanced technologies to accelerate progress.

Prime Minister Madbouly urged ExxonMobil to present a clear action plan and timeline for starting production, reaffirming the government’s support for the timely execution of operations.
