Indian rupee ends flat amid month-end dollar demand

The Indian rupee closed almost unchanged on Wednesday, as the influence of month-end dollar demand from importers was balanced by a slight increase in regional currencies.

The rupee ended the day at 85.36 against the US dollar, slightly down from 85.33 in the previous session. It had dropped to 85.70 earlier in the day but recovered most of its losses as the dollar index decreased.
