Tesla’s new car registrations in Spain fell 29 per cent year-on-year in May to 794 units, Reuters reported on Monday, citing data from industry group ANFAC, highlighting a sharp contrast with the broader growth in electric vehicle sales from rival brands.
From January to May 2025, Tesla’s sales in Spain were down 19 per cent compared to the same period in 2024.
Meanwhile, overall sales of electrified vehicles – including fully electric and hybrid models – jumped 72 per cent, indicating strong growth for Tesla’s competitors in the Spanish EV market.
