Gold prices retreat after recent gains

Spot gold prices dropped on Wednesday, August 27, 2025, at 12:16 pm GMT by 0.59 per cent to $3,376.93 per ounce, compared to its previous close of $3,393.7.

Meanwhile, US gold futures fall 0.22 per cent to $3,425.32 per ounce, down from Tuesday’s closing price of $3,433.
