Egypt’s GAFI CEO meets Singaporean companies to boost investment ties

Egypt’s General Authority for Investment and Free Zones (GAFI) CEO Hossam Heiba held a roundtable with 30 leading Singaporean companies on Wednesday to discuss investment opportunities in Egypt, the Cabinet said.

The event, organised in collaboration with the Singapore Business Federation (SBF), included one-on-one meetings with firms targeted for potential entry into Egypt, including Leo Electric (digital transformation, IoT, AI), Capella Hotel Group (luxury hospitality), The Kuok Group (agribusiness, logistics, energy), ceEntek (low-carbon construction), and Meinhardt Group (engineering consultancy).

Heiba also explored expansion opportunities with Singaporean companies already operating in Egypt, such as Tolaram Group and several firms linked to Temasek Holdings, as part of a broader effort to attract new Southeast Asian investment.
