Egypt’s c.bank to issue EGP 3b sovereign sukuk on 17 Nov.
The Central Bank of Egypt (CBE) said on Thursday it would offer its second three-year sovereign sukuk valued at 3 billion Egyptian pounds on Monday, 17 November, carrying a fixed yield of 21.561 per cent.
The sukuk will mature on 4 Nov., 2028, the CBE added.
Egypt has been diversifying its debt instruments to attract wider investor participation, including Islamic finance tools. The government regularly issues treasury bills and bonds across various maturities, with state-owned banks remaining the main buyers.
