Egypt’s stock market (EGX) closed mostly green on Sunday.
- The benchmark index, EGX30, went down by 0.11 per cent, to 52,256.18 points.
- The Shariah index, EGX33, climbed by 0.05 per cent to 5,879.61 points.
- The index EGX35-LV jumped by 0.67 per cent to 6,196.87 points.
- The SMEs index, EGX70, advanced by 1.25 per cent to 16,485.36 points.
- The EGX100 index rose by 0.90 per cent to 22,266.39 points.
The total market cap reached 3,819,981,802,566 Egyptian pounds.
Egypt and Arabs were net buyers with a total of 2,639,499,376 Egyptian pounds and 231,032,078 pounds, respectively. On the other hand, non-Arab foreigners were net sellers with 2,870,531,454 pounds.
Top gainers
- The shares of National Housing for Professional Syndicates surged by 14.27 per cent, closing at 81.130 Egyptian pounds per share.
- The shares of Alexandria New Medical Center rose by 10.38 per cent, reaching 83.890 Egyptian pounds per share.
- The shares of Engineering Industries (ICON) went up by 9.79 per cent to close at 42.610 Egyptian pounds a share.
Top losers
- The shares of GMC GROUP FOR INDUSTRIAL COMMERCIAL & FINANCIAL INVESTMENTS went down by 4.33 per cent to close at 1.990 Egyptian pounds a share.
- The shares of Sharkia National Food dropped by 3.72 per cent to close at 11.900 per cent a share.
- The shares of Ceramic & Porcelain by 3.21 per cent, to close at 35.320 Egyptian pounds a share.
