Egyptian pound at 50.17/50.27 against dollar in midday trade – 13 July 2026

The Egyptian pound was little changed against the US dollar during midday trading on Monday.

The greenback traded at an average of EGP 50.17 for buying and EGP 50.27 for selling across five major banks as of 11:49 a.m. local time (08:49 GMT), according to data compiled by Amwal Al Ghad English.

The Egyptian pound has traded within a relatively narrow range against the US dollar in recent weeks, supported by stronger foreign currency inflows, improving investor confidence, and easing pressure on the domestic foreign exchange market.
