EGX closes mixed on 26 July

Egypt’s stock market (EGX) closed mixed on Sunday.

  • The benchmark index, EGX30, went down by 0.95 per cent, to 53,417.59 points.
  • The Shariah index, EGX33, dropped by 0.52 per cent to 6,029.95 points.
  • The index EGX35-LV fell by 0.06 per cent to 6,364.56 points.
  • The SMEs index, EGX70, advanced by 0.84 per cent to 17,855.72 points.
  • The EGX100 index rose by 0.47 per cent to 23,709.04 points.

The total market cap reached 3,936,528,635,486 Egyptian pounds.

Arabs and non-Arab foreigners were net buyers with a total of 477,545,632 Egyptian pounds and 110,362,138 pounds, respectively. On the other hand, Egyptian were net sellers with 587,907,770 pounds.

Top gainers

  1. The shares of Catalyst Partners Middle East –CPME surged by 11.92 per cent, closing at 24.040 Egyptian pounds per share.
  2. The shares of Delta For Printing & Packaging rose by 11.49 per cent, reaching 250.110 Egyptian pounds per share.
  3. The shares of Ismailia Misr Poultry went up by 9.58 per cent to close at 31.000 Egyptian pounds a share.

Top losers

  1. The shares of Concrete Fashion Group For Commercial& Industrial Investment went down by 6.42 per cent to close at 0.102 Egyptian pounds a share.
  2. The shares of Grand Investment Capital dropped by 5.34 per cent to close at 59.070 per cent a share.
  3. The shares of Alexandria Flour Mills by 4.55 per cent, to close at 102.600 Egyptian pounds a share.
