Egypt’s stock market (EGX) closed in the red area on Sunday.
- The benchmark index, EGX30, went down by 1.09 per cent, to 55,664.79 points.
- The Shariah index, EGX33, dropped by 0.64 per cent to 6,712.59 points.
- The index EGX35-LV sank by 1.09 per cent to 6,923.07 points.
- The SMEs index, EGX70, plunged by 0.98 per cent to 21,192.67 points.
- The EGX100 index fell by 1.04 per cent to 27,705.07 points.
The total market cap reached 4,365,737,015,984 Egyptian pounds.
Egyptians and non-Arab foreigners were net buyers with a total of 84,093,468 Egyptian pounds and 42,937,959 pounds, respectively. On the other hand, Arabs were net sellers with 127,031,427 pounds.
Top gainers
- The shares of National Printing surged by 20.00 per cent, closing at 36.000 Egyptian pounds per share.
- The shares of Delta For Printing & Packaging rose by 20.00 per cent, reaching 361.760 Egyptian pounds per share.
- The shares of Tanmiya for Real Estate Investment went up by 11.60 per cent to close at 7.310 Egyptian pounds a share.
Top losers
- The shares of Grand Investment Capital went down by 9.89 per cent to close at 48.400 Egyptian pounds a share.
- The shares of Mohandes Insurance dropped by 7.85 per cent to close at 36.650 per cent a share.
- The shares of The Arab Ceramic CO.- Ceramica Remas dropped by 6.06 per cent, to close at 1.550 Egyptian pounds a share.
