Egyptian pound at 51.42/51.52 against dollar at early trade – 23 Sept 2026

The Egyptian pound was broadly stable against the US dollar during early trading on Wednesday, with exchange rates showing limited movement at major Egyptian banks as of 11:03 a.m. local time (08:03 GMT).

The dollar traded at an average of EGP 51.42 for buying and EGP 51.52 for selling across five major banks, according to data compiled by Amwal Al Ghad English.

The pound has traded within a relatively narrow range against the dollar in recent weeks, with exchange rates remaining broadly stable across the banking sector.
