Changes are coming to the visa application process at the U.S. Embassy. Once implemented, these changes will make applying for a visa less expensive and easier for visa applicants. When these changes are fully in place on October 4, applicants will only have to pay one lower fee for the visa application process.
As part of this transition, from September 15 to October 4, CIB bank will not be accepting payments for visa applications. Starting on October 4, visa applicants will again be able to pay for their visa applications at CIB bank and then schedule their visa interview date.
The United States is committed to meeting the growing demand for visas to the United States. In 2012, the U.S. Mission in Egypt issued over 57,000 nonimmigrant visas representing an increase of about 44% over 2011. Our new appointment, fee payment, and passport return system is just part of our effort to continually improve service to the Egyptian traveling public.
