Egyptian Exchange (EGX) trading values reached 17.9 trillion Egyptian pounds through September 2026, while its market capitalisation surpassed 4 trillion Egyptian pounds, EGX Chairman Omar Radwan said.
Speaking during a high-level panel titled Markets Under Pressure at the annual conference of the Abu Dhabi Securities Exchange (ADX), Radwan highlighted the exchange’s resilience and ability to absorb geopolitical shocks.
He said the smooth movement of foreign investors’ entry, exit and transfer of returns has strengthened international funds’ confidence in the Egyptian market.
Radwan also said Egypt’s classification as an emerging market by international institutions, including MSCI, S&P Dow Jones and FTSE Russell, reflects the success of ongoing development efforts.
