Primer Minister: Minimal Wage Not Yet Decided

Prime Minister Hazem el-Beblawy stressed that setting a minimum wage has not yet been decided.

He added that the National Council of Wages on Tuesday will discuss setting the minimum and maximum wage to be referred to the Cabinet, which will convene on Wednesday.

The official page of the Cabinet indicated that reports to the effect that the minimum wage was set at 800-1,000 pounds were mere ideas that are still under discussion.
