Bank Muscat , the flagship financial services provider in the Sultanate, has won the Asian Banker Strongest Bank Balance Sheet in Oman award for 2013.
Senior executives from around the world interested in Asian and Middle Eastern banks were present at the Asian Banker 500 Largest Banks, Strongest Bank Balance Sheets recognition ceremony held in Dubai.
AbdulRazak Ali Issa, Chief Executive, said: “The Asian Banker Strongest Bank Balance Sheet in Oman award attests the leadership position and performance excellence by Bank Muscat . Since 2007, the Asian Banker has been publishing the first and very credible annual ranking of the “Strongest Bank Balance Sheets” in the region.
The ranking is based on a very detailed and transparent scorecard that ranks commercial banks on six areas of financial performance; namely the ability to scale, balance sheet growth, risk profile, profitability, asset quality and liquidity.
